What is Hugo?
Hugo is a personal AI assistant that learns from what you share. Talk about your day, your plans or something that keeps getting in the way. Hugo picks up the details and can make a useful tool before you think to ask for one.
Why one Hugo instead of several assistants?
Hugo can help with your market plan, then your trip budget, in the same conversation. Each activity keeps its own context and tools. You return to the same Hugo instead of creating and managing a separate assistant for every task.
Do I have to ask Hugo to make an app?
No. When your conversation reveals a practical need, Hugo can make a useful tool on its own. Mention a trip budget, for example, and it can give you a budget to adjust. You can turn this off in preferences, or choose Answer only for a reply without an app.
What can I share with Hugo?
Start with what's on your mind. Your plans, a deadline, a detail you want to remember. Add relevant files when they help. You choose what to share, and Hugo uses that context to help with the activity.
Where does my information go?
Your conversation history, memories, attachments and personal tools are saved on your device. Relevant context is sent to the AI provider when Hugo responds or makes a tool. Approved computer access can also send screenshots and app contents. See how your information is handled.
Does Hugo work when I close it?
Follow-ups need Hugo to be running with a ready provider connection. They use your saved Hugo work and what you share in the conversation. Hugo does not passively watch other apps.
How are software and AI priced?
The planned launch subscription is $4.99 USD per month for Hugo's software features. AI usage is separate. Supported personal ChatGPT and Claude connections use your provider's existing plan and limits. Do I need another AI subscription?
You can use a supported personal ChatGPT or Claude connection with its existing plan and limits. The planned Hugo software subscription does not include AI usage. Hugo-funded credits are a planned separate option and are not available on this page.
How do I use my ChatGPT or Claude account?
On desktop, Hugo connects to ChatGPT through Codex and to Claude through Claude Code. Install Codex or Claude Code, then connect it in Hugo's settings through the provider's own sign-in flow. Eligible plans, usage limits and provider terms apply. Your connected account uses your provider's plan, separate from the planned Hugo-funded credits.
